We are so excited to be a part of this year’s 4 Gifts for Pets blog hop and even more excited that it is a GIVEAWAY!
We love the holidays. The cooler weather means more time outside (this is the best time of year in Arizona), everyone cooking for their families means we get lots of goodies, and then there are presents! Some like to give, some like to receive, but either way, the holiday season is for everyone!
BUT, unfortunately, sometimes giving (and getting) gifts can get a little out of control. Bigger isn’t alway better. And sometimes less is more.
Enter the 4 Gifts concept.
We had never heard of the 4 Gifts concept before being invited to be a part of this Giveaway and Blog Hop, but now we LOVE it.
Created by “mommy bloggers”, the 4 Gifts concept is designed to limit the budget breaking “getting” aspect of the Holidays by focusing on just a few gifts that matter: something they want, something they need, something to wear, and something to read.
In the case of dogs, since they aren’t huge readers (LOL), but they love to eat, the 4 Gifts for Pets is: something they want, something they need, something to wear, and something to eat.
Our 4 Gifts are…
(Click on the little pink & teal button to go directly to the product page)
Something they WANT:
CleverPet Hub
This thing seems AMAZING. Soooo, we haven’t tried it ourselves, but our friends (and Blog Hop hosts) at Kol’s Notes say it is the “best part of our dog puzzle collection”. There are videos you can watch to see how it works AND a money-saving code (save $20 using code kolchak-20). Oh, and there’s a money-back guarantee…even though our friends think there’s no way you would ever need that part!
Something they NEED:
Snoozer Luxury Console Pet Car Seat Large
Every dog needs a comfy bed for car rides, but this bed is AMAZING. It lets your dog sit up front with you out of the harm’s way of air bags by giving them their own seat over the middle console! There are safety straps that secure the luxurious microfiber and foam bed to your middle console, and a safety strap to secure your dog to the bed. The high back also prevents your dog from jumping out. PLUS, the microfiber cover is removable, washable, and comes in a variety of awesome colors! You can also order it on Amazon (bonus!).
Something to wear:
Hurtta Extreme Warmer Dog Winter Jacket Size 10in
We LOVE the Hurtta products. If you follow us on Instagram, you already know that we gave away a Hurtta jumpsuit earlier this year. BUT it would be nice to wear this new, super warm, lovely red Hurtta Jacket over our comfy, fleece Hurtta jumpsuits… You can get yours on Amazon.
Something to Eat:
Stella & Chewy’s 18oz Chicken Freeze Dried Super Meal Mixers
We can’t say enough good things about the Stella & Chewy’s Meal Mixers! We prefer the Chicken Meal Mixers, but they come in a variety of flavors if your dog has food sensitivities. Since small dogs can only get so many “treats” without creating a weight problem, we love that we can use this nutritionally complete freeze dried food as training treats! This way, we get to use high value food that dogs love without adding to their waistline by also having to give meals. No more kibble and treats. Instead, we use Stella & Chewy’s Freeze Dried! Order it on Amazon.
BUT, we want your pet to get the things on their 4 Gifts wishlist this year!
That’s why we’ve teamed up with a bunch awesome dog bloggers and our friends at CleverPet to bring you some seriously amazing prizes. This season, you could win:
A CleverPet Electronic Dog Puzzle
PLUS
1 of 3 Gift Cards
$200 * $100 * $50
to the winner’s choice of Amazon, Etsy or Petsmart!

After big holiday feasts, we like to all go out and take the dogs on a hike up by the lake in the brisk air.
Walking to see Christmas lights in our neighborhood.
There’s a new dog park in my town that we like
I like walking around the neighborhood with them and see the lights.
Walk around the park looking at lights 🙂

When my daughter comes home for a visit or holidays. she always brings my Grand-doggie.I am happy to see both of then since they live out of state. But I do get to facetime her boston.
We usually just go to my mom’s house, and bring my dog along. He gets to play with her dogs, and my sister’s dogs, so it’s usually pretty eventful.
I usually take Mr. N to go see lights somewhere. Haven’t decided on this year’s location.
It’s usually too cold where I live to take my dogs on too many outtings this time of year. I usually stick to prisk walks.
We take our dog to look at Christmas lights every year.
I don’t currently have a dog anymore (have one cat), but in the past my dogs have loved going on leashed outings to dog-friendly public holiday events, and visiting relatives/friends!
My favorite dog-friendly holiday outing is taking the dogs to Christmas doggy events. They really enjoy seeing new people and dogs and getting treats. It’s always a lot of fun!
I love taking my dogs to get their photos with Santa – it’s a local event with the proceeds going to local rescues.
We always hope for snow because we love playing the snow and building a snowman just to chomp and claw it down again 🙂
My favourite dog friendly holiday outing is at our friends, where they have a dog that our pup, Zunebug, loves to go visit and play with.
We like to take our dog on a stroll in our neighborhood on Christmas day after we open presents.
We don’t go any further than our neighborhood walks. My dogs are rescues and very nervous (one is deaf). they like to stay home.
Definitely playing outside in the snow. My dog absolutely loves the snow and she is hilarious in It!
Cuddles on the couch are always my favorite
I always take at least one of my dogs to my parent’s house for Christmas Eve. They really love it and it makes it even nicer for me.
Regular park time and walks otherwise just lots of cuddles

Taking a walk in the snow.
Take a drive and go see Christmas lights
My dogs favorite holiday outing is visiting all the relatives!
Like the snowy weather and cozy mood.
When we lived in New York, Honey used to love long walks in the snow. Now that we live on a boat, we try to make sure we’re near a beach so Honey can play in the sand.
I don’t have a dog personally (I have a cat), but I imagine that going on walks/hikes with dogs in the snow could be fun! (As long as everyone has proper warming supplies.)
we love going to visit family!
We just walk around and look at holiday decorations and lights. Our dog loves nothing more than walks.
Going on walks to see Christmas lights.

Kilo likes walking around our block looking at the lights and smelling all the smells.
We love to go look at christmas lights together. We load the pups into the car and drive around all night looking at lights.
Other then our daily walks, we don’t take the dogs out very much.

When we lived in VA, we went to a drive through light festival. I’m not sure if there is one in Colorado, but we might just have to drive around and find some cool lights ourselves if not!
